  • The primary arrival point for this tour is Santander. The city has a good international airport.

It is also easy to reach Santander by bus with ALSA or by train with RENFE. Please note that if you are travelling from Madrid, you may find it easier and quicker to take the train to Reinosa in Campoo and then taxi to the first hotel

It is also possible to arrive and depart from Bilbao. Bilbao also has a good international airport, and also the aforementioned bus and train services

Here is the duration of the transfer at the beginning and end of the tour:

    • Santander to Campoo – 1 hour and 15 minutes
    • Bilbao to Campoo – 2 hours

    • Santillana del Mar to Santander – 30 minutes
    • Santillana del Mar to Bilbao – 1 hour and 30 minutes

Santander and Bilbao are connected to the United Kingdom by ferries run by Brittany Ferries. This may be a fun and interesting way to travel if you have the time (the crossing takes around one day), but tends to be more expensive than the many flight options.

PLEASE NOTE that you should check with IberoCycle before making travel arrangements. We may be able to save you time and trouble. And please check before booking early flights as the transfers here may involve a supplement.
