The Route of El Cid follows his trail across Spain from his birthplace and burial place in the city of Burgos to the site of his last battle against the Muslim occupants of the city of Valencia. The IberoCycle tour begins on the shores of the Bay of Biscay and crosses sites steeped in medieval history and with superb landscapes to finally reach the Mediterranean.
