You’ll start your holiday in the beautiful village on Sicily’s northern coastline, San Vito Lo Capo, that lies adjacent to one of Italy’s most pristine coastal nature reserves, the Zingaro Natural Reserve. From there you will cycle towards the salt pans and windmills of Nubia then on to the coast towards Marsala passing through Mozia and to Mazara del Vallo with its famous Dancing Satyr. The tour ends visiting the archaeological site of Selinunte and the enchanting seaside village of Sciacca.

Arrival to San Vito, a seaside village located between two mountains which is famous for its superb white sand beach, the Cous Cous Festival and the Zingaro Natural Reserve. Accommodation in the area.

The first day of the cycling tour is actually spent walking at the Zingaro Natural Reserve. The excursion begins at the north entrance of the Zingaro Natural Reserve and follows wild flower lined paths along cliffs and mountains which drop dramatically into the Mediterranean. Zingaro is a well known bird watching destination and has over 650 different species of flora Secluded coves with pebble beaches offer the chance for a swim at various points of the the 6 hour walk.

A day of nature and history along the western Amalfi coast cycling along the turquoise sea and amidst the Saracen Towers: 30 defensive ramparts, built over eight hundred years (from the IX to the XVII century) to protect the island inhabitants from raids which have now, in modern times, been repurposed for civic functions.

A relaxing day pedaling along the panoramic coastal road. The highlight of the day is a visit to the tiny island of Mozia, a Punic/Carthaginian archaeological site. After an informative stop at the museum on Mozia and a light cycle to Marsala, spend the night enjoying this beautiful town on the sea where the delicious liqueur “Marsala” is produced.

Mazara del Vallo

The morning can be spent exploring Marsala, wine tasting in one of the many local wineries or just relaxing. Another option is taking a ferry to one of the beautiful Egadi Islands. The day ends with a short ride to Mazara del Vallo a with its unique mix of Islamic Casbah and baroque architecture, the world famous “Dancing Satyr” bronze statue and lovely port which houses Italy's largest fishing fleet.
