Spectacular vineyards, changing horizons with the silhouettes of towers, castles, small churches and ancient villages, together with a great gastronomic tradition, which makes the hills of Langhe a treasure of flavors. The short daily stages will give you the opportunity to ride calmly, taking advantage of every stop to really get into this magnificent area. A medium level tour on cycle paths, backside roads and some dirt patches, all in fairly good conditions. The stages are short but undulating with one or more uphill every days.

Today´s route runs entirely through the vineyards of the most famous wines of the region. Along the way you can make several stops in the typical villages of the Langhe, including Neive with its castle and Barbaresco with its civic tower with a panoramic view overlooking the Tanaro valley.

Serralunga

An easy riding day along hilltops that is almost entirely flat with spectaculars views overlooking vineyards. The route follows the local trail called “Strada Romantica delle Langhe e del Roero”, Break for lunch at a charming village, and finish the day arriving to the castle of Serralunga.

La Morra

The day begins with a nice downhill which ends up in the Talloria valley; Those who wish to can then climb up to the castle of Grinzane. The route continues first to Castiglione Falletto, then to Barolo, home of the most famous and celebrated wine of Piedmont, and possibly of Italy. There you can visit the Barolo Museum of Wine in the castle. End the day in La Morra, which is located on a magnificent terrace nestled over the hills

Today we leave the Langhe, cross the river Tanaro, and head to Bra. Along the way stops can be made in several towns (such as as Narzole) rich in Italian and European history, and ending the day in Cherasco, with it´s historic center magnificently perched at the confluence of two rivers.

Alba

We head to Alba on the last leg of our journey. The cycle path is very relaxing and includes a visit to Pollenzo, an ancient Roman colony that is today home to the University of Gastronomic Sciences, so a good enjoy some excellent food and wine. A short detour can be made to Roddi, a medieval hilltop village with incredible views and an imposing, seemingly invincible castle, before finally arriving to Alba
