Today we arrive in Lanzarote. Transfer from Arrecife Airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the beach resort of Costa Teguise.
Pick up and fit bikes after breakfast and off you go! Visit César Manrique's famous and unique architectural works such as El Jardín de Cactus, Los Jameos del Agua, El Mirador del Río which form an integral part of the landscape. We also have the opportunity to visit the volcanic cave of La Cueva de los Verdes. We take in fishing villages without losing sight of the impressive Monte Corona volcano. Finally we arrive in the picturesque village of Haría surrounded by its uncountable palm trees.. Routes of 34, 45, 52 - 19, 28, 32 miles
From Haría, we take the road down towards Teguise, the one-time capital of the island. Our route gives us spectacular views down over the coast. Teguise itself is a delightful small town with typical architecture and many pleasant bars for refreshment. From here we continue towards San Bartolomé and the fascinating wine-producing area of La Geria to our country hotel where we spend the next two nights. 33 or 52 km - 21 or 32 miles
Today is a free day spent in or near Teguise. We can choose to relax, or enjoy a round ride, or even both. Our round ride takes us towards the beautiful beach of Famara with the spectacular backdrop of volcanic cliffs. After following the coast, we head across extensive lava fields and a lunar landscape back to Teguise.. 50 km - 31 miles
We head towards the island's main attraction, the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya. This is where Lanzarote's volcanic nature is at its most spectacular. The eruptions of 1730 - 1736 buried a quarter of the whole island, including several villages, and gave rise to the impressive lava and volcano landscape that we see today. Then to the south of the island, stopping en route to visit the seaside volcanic crater of El Golfo before we finally reach Playa Blanca.. 47 or 58 km - 29 or 36 miles
Playa Blanca sits at the very south of the island and looks across to Fuerteventura. Today we can take a boat across to Corralejo and enjoy a visit or a ride on another island. Alternatively, we can enjoy a day in Playa Blanca and take the opportunity to visit the nearby coves and beaches of Papagayo, the best on the island and unspoilt by tourism. Another option is to visit El Golfo for a seafood lunch by the beach. Route to El Golfo 36 km - 20 miles. Fuerteventura circuit 70 km - 43 miles.
From Playa Blanca, we head to the wine country of La Geria. Here, the unusual vineyard cultivation techniques have given rise to a fascinating landscape not to be seen anywhere else in the world, and producing some fine wines. We then descend to the coast and follow a nice promenade from Puerto del Carmen to Arrecife with its charming inland harbour of El Charco. . 47 - 30 miles

We think cycle touring is the ideal way to travel in Europe and that is why we are very pleased to launch European Bike Adventures, as it allows us the opportunity to offer a whole new set of experiences to people we know will appreciate them.
Accordingly we have taken our time in selecting the portfolio of cycle tours you find listed here.
A selection of hand-picked bike trips in spectacular places throughout Europe that focus on fun with the same attention to detail and quality that hundreds of our very satisfied clients have been enjoying with Ibero Cycle Tours since 1999.
On a self-guided tour, you are basically independent. IberoCycle transports luggage to the next hotel.
Riders are expected to complete each day's ride, unless there is an emergency, or a mechanical problem.
Cyclists do not travel as part of a group or with a guide, although they may coincide with other cyclists on the same trip.
Our "IberoCycle On Call" service means we are always available for help or advice.
Cyclists are provided with our own detailed Route Guide and maps for their chosen route.
Fitter cyclists may extend stages at will.

Hybrid e-bike | Road E-bike |
The last few years have seen a revolution in the use of e-bikes. We now offfer e bikes on absolutely all of our rides. There are of course multiple advantages to using one on a bike tour:
The difficulty level is lowered by a grade. Thus an intermediate level tour becomes an easy tour as the motor assists pedalling.
The distance you can cycle on each day is effectively "reduced". Longer distances become accessible to a greater range of riding abilities.
Ability levels between riders on the same tour are levelled out as riders can choose an e-bike to enable them to keep up with stronger riders.
No more worrying about the hills!
So if you are in any doubt about whether a particular tour might be too challenging for you, then take the e-bike option. You can still get a good workout by keeping the pedal assistance level low. E-bikes are now available on all of our tours. And many have both the standard e-bike and also the road e-bike.
You can arrive on this tour on absolutely any day you like, 365 days a year! You can also modify the tour to add extra nights at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end.
